The Veterans Cricket Australia Over 50s Board and Australian Aboriginal Team committee are proud to announce a tri-series in Mackay, Queensland between the 10-17 April, 2025.
For this event, an Over 50s Australian Aboriginal team will be selected (for the first time), to compete in a series that will include an Australian Over 55s side and a New Zealand Over 55s side.
Our timeline is packed, so we are asking for nominations to be received to this email address (Over50AboriginalXII@gmail.com) by Friday 10 January 2025.
Your nomination will include:
*The nomination form fully completed, and
*A confirmation of Aboriginality form (example provided in the above attachment), where you have presented evidence of your Aboriginality and proven you identify as Aboriginal, to an organisation from where your people originated, or where you live now.
(If you do not supply a 'confirmation of Aboriginality' form, your nomination will be deemed ineligible).
Once nominations are received, they will be sent to the Australian Aboriginal Team's Advisory Board for consideration and eventual selection. We hope to have this finalised by Friday 17 January 2025.
The chosen squad will need to declare they are available for the tri-series and commit to at least one training session in their state of residence. There will also be regular "Microsoft Teams" meetings that every squad member will need to be available for as well.
Please ensure all fields of the nomination form are completed, and that you include your proof of Aboriginality form.
This is an amazing opportunity that will further highlight the talent our people have for sport.
